The Zumtobel Group is an international lighting group and a leading supplier of innovative lighting solutions, lighting components and associated services. We are seeking an accomplished International Key Account Manager to drive the growth of our international specification business and play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s long-term strategic ambitions. This is a highly visible, commercially critical position focused on developing and managing key international relationships across large-scale, high-profile specification projects. Working in close collaboration with our established International Specification team in the Middle East, you will take ownership of building and nurturing a strong, sustainable project pipeline.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of a sales plan aligned to regional commercial and project objectives. Identify international sector trends and growth opportunities to drive profitable performance. Take ownership of creating and managing effective account plans for key customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key specification stakeholders, including Lighting Designers, Consultants and Architects. Deliver a consistently high standard of service and support across all key accounts. Conduct targeted customer visits to influence specifications and secure project pull‑through. Actively engage in continuous professional development to maximise sales effectiveness. Work collaboratively with the regional team to achieve shared commercial goals.
Skills & Experience
You have a demonstrated experience in a customer‑focused environment, with a strong commitment to service excellence and responsiveness. You should have experience within the construction industry, gained in a key account management, business development, or related commercial role; experience within the lighting sector is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from senior decision‑makers to site‑based teams. A proven ability to develop, manage, and grow key client relationships, delivering value both internally and externally. Sound understanding of the sector, including contractual structures, routes to market, and the specification process for lighting and controls solutions. Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with experience using SAP and Salesforce. You are a collaborative and professional team contributor, proactive in approach and confident working with internationally active lighting specifiers Lighting Designers, Architects, and M&E consultants.
